These are the Techno Toy Tuning Camber Plates for the Datsun Z cars. These are designed for the 240Z 260Z and 280Z cars. These will fit either the front OR the rear of the Z cars.

The stock strut tower on the Z cars does not allow for a bolt in camber plate. After much demand for a workable setup on the Z cars, we put these weld in camber plates into production. These steel plates are a direct weld in replacement for the upper strut towers and will allow the maximu camber adjustment possible.

Please note: These camber plates are a weld in setup. They match the exact profile of the stock upper strut tower for a clean install, but are designed for the fabricator or serious enthusiast. They work with coilovers ONLY. They will not work with factory diameter springs.

Specs:

• Solid steel weld in upper plates in bare steel for easy welding.
• All aluminum center blocks
• Anodized gold center blocks
• Precision oversized spherical bearings
• Bearings are Teflon lined & self-lubricating
• Stainless steel sleeve to size down the oversize bearings to your shock shaft (available in several different sizes, if you use different shock inserts.

The bearings on these are inserted into the aluminum blocks with what is called an "interference fit". What that means is that the holes that the bearings go into are actually a hair smaller than the bearing going into them. What we do is freeze the bearings and heat up the aluminum blocks to 200 degrees. This makes the bearings shrink a bit and the blocks expand a bit, and then they slip right in!

Once the temperature equalizes on both, those bearings are IN THERE! They will not move around or cause you any "clunking" noises. They are also held in by a keeper ring, to ensure they don't pull out of the bottom of the blocks. We also have full upper hat systems for use with 2.5" coilovers. The upper hat setups include machined upper hats, hardened washers and the Torrington Needle bearings. Cost on the upper hat systems is $50.00 per Pair NOT INCLUDED IN THIS AUCTION.
